Spiritual Study Group
Spiritual Study Group usually meets on the third First Day (Sunday) of each month to discuss Quakerism and spirituality. In the past we have read a variety of books and Pendle Hill pamphlets on Quaker values. We are currently discussing selected queries (we have already discussed Listening, Community and Simplicity) from Baltimore Yearly Meeting’s Faith and Practice which we generally read at the beginning of study group. Some members are exploring Experiment with Light exercises.
Sharing Spiritual Paths and Pot Luck
On a recent First Day, after Meeting for Worship, Friends gathered on the porch for pot luck and stories of individual paths to Quakers. Since many are Convinced Quakers, rather than Birthright Quakers, the stories were varied, interesting, and insightful. There will be more chances to share stories and histories as Covid restrictions are lifted.
