Friends of Quaker Valley Mission Statement
Since it was founded
in 1780, the members of the Menallen Friends Meeting have been active
in the education of children, the Underground Railroad, Native American
affairs, and the Pennsylvania apple industry, while addressing the
spiritual needs of its members.
It is our intent to
preserve this rich heritage by continuing to: meet the spiritual needs
of our members and others in our community of worship; reach out to all
faiths in a spirit of fellowship and understanding; engage in community
outreach initiatives; operate and expand educational opportunities to
the younger members of the greater Menallen community; and maintain the
physical assets that have been entrusted to our care, including three
meeting houses listed and
their five cemeteries. |
